Welcome to Harlan’s Place, a 501(c)3 organization. Our story is one of love, hope, and dedication to creating a bright future for our beloved son, Harlan. Our journey began with a simple yet profound desire: to ensure that Harlan, who has Down Syndrome, can lead an independent life in an environment that mirrors the opportunities available to individuals without disabilities.
The Community.
Harlan's Place is not just a residence; it's a purposefully designed housing community located in the heart of the Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Our community consists of 60 individual apartment units, each crafted to provide a warm and supportive environment for adults diagnosed with Down Syndrome, or developmental disabilities who do not require licensed care for physical or mental diagnoses.
"This is the best news ever! We moved our family from Ann Arbor Michigan 10 years ago. Our youngest daughter is almost 19 with Down syndrome.
